Please take a tour of our website, using the individual tabs to meet our key personnel, our service range and other useful information.

Brief history

1990 – the first year of the structural changes in the Polish economy. Maria Korycka and Tomasz Budziak establish a business consulting company. At the beginning of the transformation period, the company lays the foundations for auditing services.

1992 – Pro-Invest Audyt (PIA) is established – one of its founders, Ewa Orkwiszewska, later became one of our partners. PIA becomes a leading IPO prospectus auditor.

1993 – Korycka, Budziak & Rewidenci (KBR) company is established – the first partners, Maria Korycka and Tomasz Budziak, are joined by Jan and Krystyna Motławski. The synthesis of the advisory, auditing and accounting functions enables fast development.

1998 – KBR becomes a member and shareholder of the global auditing network S.C. International. It is oriented towards service of international clients and consolidated capital groups.

1999 – KBR becomes a majority shareholder of PIA – preparations are pending to integrate both companies.

2000 – the operations are consolidated under the new name of Korycka, Budziak & Audytorzy in continuation of the legal existence of former PIA. The company establishes a fixed position as a recognised auditing company regularly classified among the Top 5 businesses with Polish capital.

2006 – the partners change – Jan and Krystyna Motławski retire after many years of work. The company has more than 40 employees, including auditors, tax advisors, and chartered accountants.

2007 – as a result of an international merger, SC International combines with Nexia International. A worldwide network is set up classified as among the global top 10 accounting firms according to International Accounting Bulletin.

2008 – all shares in Centrum Usług Księgowych sp. z o.o. in Kraków are bought from Bank Pekao S.A., thus expanding the portfolio of real estate and financial services.

Nexia International

Our membership results from the merger of two global networks, NEXIA International and SC International (SCI). They associate independent auditors and tax and business advisors, combining their strengths and merging to form a group ranked tenth worldwide in the provision of auditing and advisory services.

Based on the IAB World Survey of December 2008, following the combination it is estimated that NEXIA International will generate a total income of over 2.2 bln USD from over five hundred locations in 103 countries, while employing more than 18 thousand professionals worldwide. Apart from the USA, NEXIA International is ranked seventh. The resulting organisation, its potential and market position will provide a better response to the increasing requirements of clients not only with regard to service in individual countries, but especially service in the international dimension.

For KBA and its clients, the meaning of the joining the structures of Nexia International includes: availability of service to harmonised standards in Nexia’s offices worldwide; ability to form international teams, e.g. for international tax optimisation, cross-boundary consolidation, due diligence or corporate finance; focusing on those client sectors that need strong support in international structures. Our membership in Nexia International will not affect the contractual relations with our clients, our ownership or management structure; strong representation in 103 countries and especially in the USA, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, the Netherlands and Russia, Eastern Europe and Turkey.

KBA is convinced that our decision to join Nexia International will enable us to accompany our clients in running and developing their businesses not only in Poland but especially western and eastern Europe and the Balkan countries.

Thanks to the KBA's joining on 1 December 2007 NEXIA International, this network has increased its potential in Poland by acquiring a strong team of professionals in Warsaw. From that date, more than sixty professionals in Warsaw and Kraków locations have put their experience at the disposal of the most demanding clients, who expect professional levels of advisory, auditing and accounting services.
